Our Story

Born from chai shop conversations and ridge-line friendships

We craft mindful adventures that honor Himalayan ecosystems, sustain mountain livelihoods, and leave trekkers feeling grounded.

Dharamkot Travels began as a loose crew of local guides, homestay hosts, and cooks who wanted to share the mountains without the rush. Over 14 seasons we have mapped shepherd shortcuts, restored neglected trails, and built trust with highland communities.

Every expedition is still small-batch. We handpick guides for their storytelling as much as their route finding, and we spend the days between treks training with mountain rescue teams, tending to trail maintenance, and co-designing itineraries with village councils.

Values that guide us

Slow travel rhythm

We plan deliberate pacing with extra acclimatization nights so your body and mind keep up with the elevation gains.

Local stewardship

A share of every booking funds trail restoration, waste cleanups, and scholarships for aspiring mountain guides.

Safety as culture

From daily weather briefs to redundant evacuation plans, we train like mountaineers so you can trek like a dreamer.
